What we collect and why
Our guiding principle is to collect only what we need. Here's what this means in practice:
Identity and access
When you sign up for one of our products, we request credentials such as your name, email address, or phone number. This allows us to provide essential product features and send product updates and other important information.
Billing information
If you sign up for a paid product, you will be asked to provide your payment information and billing address. Payment information is submitted directly to our payment processor and does not pass through our servers.
Product interactions
We record on our servers the content you upload, receive, or maintain in your product accounts. Unless you delete this content, we may keep it while your account is active. If you delete your account, it will immediately become inaccessible. Considering database backups, your account will be fully removed from our systems within 90 days.
Website interactions
We collect information about your browsing activity for analytics and statistics purposes such as conversion rate tests and experimentation with new product designs. This includes browser and OS versions, IP address, pages visited, load time, and referrer site. If you have an account and are logged in, this web analytics data is linked to your IP address and account until your account is no longer active.
Anti-bot evaluations
We use external CAPTCHA services in our applications to mitigate brute-force logins as a means of spam protection.
Cookies
We also use first-party persistent cookies and some third-party cookies to store certain preferences, facilitate app use, run A/B tests, and support analytics.
Voluntary correspondence
When you send us an email with a question or to request help, we retain this correspondence, including your email address, to maintain a history of past interactions if you contact us again in the future.
When we access or share your information
To provide the products or services you requested. We use some third-party contractors to help operate our apps and provide services to you. This includes cloud and analytics providers. To investigate, prevent, or take action regarding abuse, or when required by law.
How we secure your data
All data is encrypted via SSL/TLS when transmitted from our servers to your browser.
What happens when you delete your content
If you delete content, it will immediately become inaccessible. Considering database backups, this content will be fully removed from our systems within 90 days.
Site and data location
Our products and other web properties are operated in the United States. By using our websites or services and/or providing your personal information, you consent to this transfer.
